My “Side Project” “Comedy” Podcast – Bicoastal Boozecast

Hey all. Bryan here. I hope you are enjoying my most recent post on Kubernetes and installing Tanzu Kubernetes Grid. It was fun for me to get that out there.

Also, we’ve reached a TOC milestone: You are reading the 50th post here at TOC! YEAH!

This blog is still a thing, I promise; just been pre-occupied with life stuff. I have some more Ansible, Jenkins, and VMware stuff I am working on too, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, I am going to make a shameless plug for my side project, Bicoastal Boozecast, which is my podcast totally unrelated to IT and totally unrelated to everything I do here. I know self-promotion on a blog is “frowned upon” . . . and maybe “a bit gauche”, but I am the sole owner and contributor to this blog, so you’re just going to have to deal with it . . .

Deal with it.

Bicoastal Boozecast, available on your favorite podcast app, is a venture between me and my good friend Tom (@Intelligiant2 on the twitter) where we pair a themed alcoholic beverage and a topic. Here’s the description, taken straight from the podcast itself:

One drink, one topic. Tom, located on the East Coast, and Bryan, on the West, former work friends, join forces bi-weekly to try a new drink and discuss a related pop culture topic. If you’re looking for an insightful discussion on the shambling undead with a Zombie, a friendly disagreement about the Best Bond paired with martinis, or a fond retrospective of the Coen brothers with a white Russian or two, Bicoastal Boozecast allows you all the fun of bar-based eavesdropping with no cover charge and no two drink minimum.

My only disclaimer is that Episode 1’s audio on my end was horrible, but I stand behind the content. We have straightened it out since. You might want to start with Episode 2 – The James Bond Episode.

Episode 3 The Nicolas Cage Episode, will be released on March 23.

You can follow Bicoastal Boozecast on twitter @BCBoozecast. We post the recipes for the mixed drinks in the show notes, so feel free to mix up a drink and have one with us! Responsibly, of course.
